Are you really frustrated that a particular site is not opening in your computer and its opening everywhere. First of all, you have to check it whether it is really not opening everywhere or only in your machine.

This problem is with some BSNL connections, happening from past 13-14 days. BSNL servers are not resolving the addresses of some sites. Though, I came across with the same problem, I thought you must also check the same and rectify your problem as what I have done for mine.

How to check:

There are few sites, I came across when I was browsing the internet. Actually, you have to check anonymously whether a site isn’t working for the world or only for you.

The above site will check anonymously whether a particular site is working or not. It also provides some really great informations about the site you are searching for like URL, Content Type, HTTP Code etc. etc. Here is the screenshot of my site when I checked:

There is one more site www.anonymouse.org which gives the same information but it directly opens requested site anonymously without giving any information. It there’s a problem the site will not open.

How to rectify this problem?

Actually, this problem occurs when the DNS server becomes unable to resolve the IP addresses of the sites you are requesting for in your browser.

Just open your connection properties and add these two DNS server names which belongs to opendns.com. Actually, opendns is a world famous dns resolver portal, which is having the names and IPs of millions of sites and updated regularly. So, here are the names:

Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222

Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220

You have to put these numbers in your network connection settings and then reconnect your Internet connection and you are ready to go, all the sites will open and opendns will also increase your browsing speed.
