I am writing this review after a long-long time. Though after this long gap, I came up with a nice and powerful shooting experience for your day-to-day memories. Yes, its Sony CyberShot DSC-RX100 ultrazoom digital camera which is equipped with APS-C sized sensor. This cool gadget has been launched in May’ 2012. With lots of more features, you can enjoy a great experience with this device.

Sony CyberShot DSC-RX100
According to Sony, this gadget came up as a new era in compact digital photography with a minimal price of $150. If you go through the sensor, the device comprises of brand new technology of 1.0 inch Exmor CMOS sensor (13.2 x 8.8 mm), which gives this great device a 20.2 megapixels or shooting.
Having equipped with 3.0 inch LCD screen, which also covers full 1080 HD video recording and 10fps of continuous shooting. If you go through the more details hardware specs you will find a 3.6x Carl Zeiss zoom lens which can give you a 28-105mm of focal range. Moreover, this device is having f/1.8 aperture on wide-angle zoom and during telephoto its f/4.9 which is really great.
If you go through the overall size its just 4 x 2.375 x 1 inch and also very light weight, just 8.5 ounces. Outer body of the gadget comprises of solid metal feeling.
Besides all these great features, this device lacks shutter lag but in brighter light conditions the auto focus is awesome. One more con disapproves this great gadget in terms of processing that this camera doesn’t have any RAW image process and many photo processing applications doesn’t recognize RAW images. The inbuilt photo importer is not built for the MAC operating systems. As an extra option you can download the Image Data Converter for RAW images from Sony’s official website.
After many pros and cons discussed above, my personal opinion says that this device is really great for a average photographer and also fits in the budget.
