Try Safe Mode on Samsung Galaxy S3 – A Customer Review
I am assuming most of you have already updated to Jelly Bean, which had started rolling out since October. It works like a charm on my galaxy s3. Anyways coming back to the amazing thing which happened last night when I was trying to reboot my S3. Of late my phone has been acting a little weird, a little sluggish so I was trying out various things to fix it. Of course I fixed it but before that let me explain how the amazing thing that happened. Most (some) of you might not know about the safe mode in android. I was rebooting my phone as usual by chance I must have pressed some key and phone started. It looked normal but suddenly I noticed a water mark on bottom left of my screen which said safe mode. I was pleasantly surprized and starting researching more. This is what I came across, as soon as you enter safe mode all the third party applications are automatically disabled and only stock applications are running. You would also notice a watermark on the bottom left of your screen. You can easily analyse what was causing the lag. So I was also able to understand which crappy app was eating the entire RAM and uninstalled it right away.
To enter safe mode:
- Switch off your phone completely.
- Switch on using power button.
- As soon as you see Samsung logo, hit the left touch button till the phone boots in safe mode.
- Try repeating the process if it does not happen first time.
Nonetheless, so far it has been a great upgrade after galaxy S2. In case you are an android lover and still haven’t bought it. You are definitely missing out on the android experience. In fact, yesterday I also came across a website where you can get a decent discount. You might wanna try out a leading store from their electronics section. I had paid a lot more for the same device which was running ICS back then. I would still recommend gifting yourself one for this Christmas.
Thanks
